What is a good website build?  A quality website build has the following:  Mobile friendly, responsive design, appropriate tags, relevant keywords, speed optimization, XML sitemap, good architecture, structured data markup, compressed images, etc.  There is a lot in the “etc.”!

I believe that most individuals understand that building a quality website is no small task.  However, the “optimization” of the website does not stop when the site is completed, and (I think) this is where the confusion is for most business owners.  For your website to rank well, the search engines need to see your site as an authoritative website for the search query a customer uses in the search engine.  In fact, you may have heard of the acronym E.A.T (Expert, Authoritative, Trustworthy) from a lot of experts in the field.  This means that when someone types in the search phrase “Botox Los Angeles” into Google, Google is using all available information to deliver the websites that are E.A.T to the end-user.  If you own a medical practice in the Los Angeles area and all you have is a webpage about Botox that consists of roughly 300 words on the subject, then the likelihood of Google seeing your website as an authoritative is minimal all things being equal.  This is where a strategy to develop CONTENT becomes essential.
